Welcome to the launch of my new SEO and Online marketing blog where I will be sharing tips on SEO for photographers, artists and solo-entreupreneurs. I will also be interviewing photographers and business owners and picking their brains for some expert advice on many different topics ranging from SEO to branding. Make sure you sign up on main page to stay up to date with bootcamp release as well as SEO tips.
One of the main doubts photographers have in regards to their SEO efforts, is Keyword list building. It is assumed keyword lists is just a huge list of phrases separated by commas and then they are stuffed in webpages/blogs in sections called called tags or meta tags. If you are a Show It user, you may think this list of words and phrases should be put in the section called “keywords”. The truth is that keywords are the bases and foundation of all our SEO and yes you can use keywords in your tags but keywords is much more than that. Here is a video explaining keywords a bit further. On my SEO fanpage I will be sharing daily seo tips as well as keyword thursdays. On keyword Thursdays, I will pick a genre of photographer, or other business types to give you some keyword samples to help build your keyword list and strategy.
The good news its not as hard as it sounds and I am here to help you explain it in a very simple and human manner 🙂 I hope you enjoy this intro video.
ps. filming your self is so weird and very hard to do so don’t judge.
Great tips, Feuza!
I am really battling with finding a comprehensive resource for explaining how SEO works. We are also in the photography business, and did employ an SEO “expert”. The result was good short term, but long term they set up a number of spammy links, and our google listing is now on page 9, which is useless.
Any ideas?
